Luck practice
23.01. - 25.01. 2025
Anyone who has ever tried to make art knows how much luck plays in creative work. For a work to "turn out well," it's not enough to have a good idea or craftsmanship - there are too many variables. Everything has to fit together: the colors have to blend into an unexpected but harmonious shade; the brushstroke has to land exactly where it's supposed to; the materials - canvas, pigments, base - must not disappoint during the process. The list could go on and on.
Moreover, the very perception of a work is influenced by variable factors - from the socio-political context to the viewer's personal associations that suddenly arise.
Almost every human activity involves a certain amount of chance, but in art, chance becomes one of the key elements. Luck permeates the entire process - from the selection of materials to the composition to their perception and interpretation.
