ABOUT IVY'S PORTRAITS: Iva is my longtime friend, a companion on trips, horseback rides through forests and meadows. Together we not only discover the landscape, but also share our feelings. The sorrows of one touch the other. We try to help each other and find a way out of difficult situations and long-term problems. One winter, when she was standing quite bewildered in the backyard of her house and looking into the distance, she asked me: "give me advice, what should I do?", and I didn't quite know how to help her at that moment, but I knew that she was to me at that moment, in some strange way, 'horribly' beautiful. I had a need to return to that moment, and finally I started looking for a way out in painting, by suggesting the possibility of reshaping the human body into an organic form, and thus connecting man with the nature in which he moves. The presented images depict the initial phase of Ivy's transformation. ABOUT PORTRAITS OF IVA: Iva has been my friend for many years, my companion on trips, horseback rides in forests and meadows.
